Lisa Cole is an accomplished writer, director, and producer known for impactful storytelling. Her short film "Bienvenidos a Los Angeles" was Oscar-shortlisted for the 96th Academy Awards. Inspired by a true immigration story, the film has screened at over 60 festivals globally. With a focus on social justice, she is currently developing several feature films, including "Diamond Girls," starring Selena Gomez, and "Girl Named Sue," with esteemed producers Laura Bickford and Nathan Ross. Lisa’s background includes directing and producing documentaries for Viacom, A&E, Sundance, and The Gates Foundation, spotlighting critical issues such as women's safety in the DRC and Kenya. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University School of Cinema and TV, Lisa serves on the board of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
